A man sits at a side-street cafe. Ponders while he waits, wonders why he waits. Like them all, he contemplates how things change from day to day.
I think he wants too much.
He's staring now as he writes his words. Lost for a time in his multi-track mind. Sifting through his daily grind, not sure he'll like what he finds.
A man sits on an east-bound bus. Ponders while he rides, wonders why he rides. Like them all, alone he hides. Things stay the same day after day.
I think he wants too little.
He now recalls past lines, things said without cause or reason. Selfish moments kept in time, kept behind piles of lies and fake smiles.
While he waits.
